Hello my lovely friends,

Do any of you have experience with the law or know lawyers? I ask because I am pressing charges against the restaurant for firing me for being raped in their parking lot. I am working with an advocate group and they are providing me assistance free of charge.

The only thing is, they just sent me the charges I’m going to file and I swear to godstiel it’s like it’s written in a foreign language. They asked me to “look it over and say if it looks alright”, but how can I do that if I don’t know what ‘alright’ looks like for a lawyer?

Could any of you ask around, or perhaps reblog this in the hopes some person with a legal degree would be willing to do me a random act of kindness and look over about 5 pages of legal documents? It’s not much, but it’s confusing to me and hard to think about because it’s a sensitive subject.

If anyone can help, my ask and submit boxes are open. Thank you!!

Oi, my little lawyers out there. If you have any sort of connections or are very well versed in law, you’re needed. You don’t need to give money or anything, just get the word out on this madness if you so please.

I spotted this poor lady initially on Thanksgiving Day looking for work as I was leaving the York Road Shopping Center in Baltimore (http://g.co/maps/2ymdz). I felt so helpless and guilty because she wasn’t asking for money, but for a steady job. It was beyond me. It was especially sad because this was someone who should be enjoying retirement, but can’t. The next day, I thought to take a picture of her and her sign to post it online to have her exposed to more people. When I went to find her though, she wasn’t there. I was in the area today, and coincidentally, there she was: Still asking for help as cars were exiting the plaza. I finally approached her and asked if I could snap a picture so I can put her ad online in the hopes that someone out there would be able to find something for her. So, here it is. If you know someone looking for a seamstress, will you please tell that person about Gail? If you yourself can help, please reach out to her. Gail can be contacted at 443-810-0561. If you can’t help, at least share this post so that someone following you can.Thank you.

This needs 100k notes.

Obtain all the notes, pls.  This is just too sad, I hope she’s found some good fortune.

Dammit, if only I was in Baltimore! I’d totally hire her even though I have no money oh well maybe the school could hire her as a teacher assistant in the costume shop or something

Am I being followed by anyone in the Baltimore area?  Maybe a fannish type who’s interested in cosplay but doesn’t know how to sew?  I don’t know about you, but I would jump at the chance to hire a seamstress for that.

The Mathematical recap of “What Was Missing” was taken down by Frederator Studios, not Cartoon Network.

Please stop accusing Cartoon Network of censorship. They haven’t done anything wrong. I emailed Frederator Studios to ask why the video was gone.

Hi guys, can you confirm or deny that Cartoon Network took down your recap video of “What Was Missing”? If they didn’t, who did? Why was it taken down?

Thank you!

[anygoddamnedcolleen]

I promptly received a response from Eric at Frederator:

Hi, [anygoddamnedcolleen].

No, it was our decision, not Cartoon Network’s. We felt it was too sensational and implied things that are just not the intention of show’s creator or crew. We regret it’s caused such a stir.

— Eric Homan

Frederator Studios

Here is a screencap of the exchange:

So, to sum up:

  • Adventure Time is produced by Frederator Studios
  • Frederator Studios makes weekly recap videos on their Youtube channel Mathematical
  • The Mathematical videos are not made by Adventure Time staff
  • The “What Was Missing” recap stated that Marceline maybe liked PB as more than a friend, had a pop-up reading “thumbs up for subtext” and encouraged fans to call in to give their opinion on the possibility of a Marceline/PB relationship.
  • One of the writers of “What Was Missing” voiced his dislike of the recap.
  • Frederator took the recap down.

Cartoon Network was not involved in any way, the Adventure Time staff did not endorse the video, the episode still stands with whatever subtext we choose to take from it, and we are still free to ship Marceline/PB to our hearts’ content.

This is not the story I heard from the Mathematical Youtube blog.  They had previously posted (and I wish I had screencapped this) that Cartoon Network “had a problem” with the video, but they were fighting to have it put back.  They also made another update that said “Out video is down (for now) but we hope to have it back up,” implying that they didn’t take it down by choice.  Here is the one screencapped response I do have.  I noticed the last time I checked their Mathematical page (which has since been FLOODED with supportive comments for the pairing) that they have deleted their status updates.

I’m not liking all these deleted posts and updates.  They’re all covering things up.

Someone isn’t telling the full story. I have the feeling someone is being forced to take the blame to save face for a higher up, and I really hope CN isn’t pressuring them to reply this way.

I just checked and their comment is still there, on page 23 of the comment section currently:

Mathematical: Cartoon Network is having some trouble with the What Was Missing video! Sorry guys, we’re trying to get it back up.

And I had their youtube page open all day, so I just capped that one status update (which is no longer there)

Mathematical: So our latest episode has been pulled down (at least for now), but it’s fine. We here at Mathematical always support and love all excitement, fanfics and fan are for Bubbline and anything your imaginations can come up with. It’s not necessarily indicative of what’s to happen on Adventure Time, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it! Mathematical is always fighting for you Adventure Time fans and you can always feel safe to ship any characters you want to! We love you!

So I don’t know :/ it seems like they did want to have that video put back up earlier, but this is all very confusing :(

THE PLOT THICKENS!!! or something. Honestly, this feels to me like a matter of the right hand not talking to the left, but in any case it seems at least we have made our support of Marceline/Princess Bubblegum crystal clear, so I hope something good is coming out of this no matter what.

So basically, we still don’t know what’s really going on.  Maybe everyone is just honestly confused, maybe there’s some deliberate misinformation sewing on some level, but in any case, I’d say our strategy remains the same:  Don’t be overly hostile to anyone, do tell everyone involved (Mathematical, Frederation, Cartoon Network) that you support Marceline/Bubblegum both as the subtextual thing it’s been so far and as a possible future official couple, and, just to be safe, download or otherwise keep records of anything that any of tptb might try to purge from the internet.

Also, keep the adorable fanworks coming. <3

all sandwichocracies are sandwichtastic: The Mathematical recap of "What Was Missing" was taken down by Frederator Studios, not Cartoon Network.

In repsonse to aatombomb’s and approachingsignificance’s post about Troy Davis, I propose we DO SOMETHING about it that takes 30 seconds.

We’ve all seen Tumblr do some amazing things ranging from donating thousands of dollars to friends in need, raising tens of thousands for countries who faced disaster to finding a place for friends to live, finding them a job or just giving moral support everyday. I’m not asking for money, but how about signing a petition that may save an innocent man from the death penalty?

From the Innocence Project:

Davis was convicted almost exclusively on the basis of eyewitness identification testimony, which has been shown through DNA exonerations and thousands of academic studies to be unreliable. Seven of the nine witnesses who testified at his trial have since recanted and strong evidence points to another person as the real perpetrator in the case.

The only man that can stop the execution scheduled for tonightSeptember 21 at 7pm, is GA District Attorney Chisolm and he needs to hear from us asap.  And so does Mr. Davis.

In case anyone’s still wondering where to report Hypes, and in case he hasn’t been reported yet, he’s British, so this’d be the way to go.

UPDATE:  Apparently he lives in Britain.  The FBI are probably not going to be a lot of help here.

Who knows about British jurisdiction over child protection and cyber crime?

Not sure if anyone’s done this yet, but hi. I’ve dug up a few links, so please reblog it and use the form as I don’t feel I know enough about the situation ( I don’t know anything about him beyond his tumblr screen name, after all), nor am I in any position to give the authorities here a clear picture.

However, if people who know a lot more would like to poke me on AIM (faereyjar, or drop a note in my ask if I’m offline so I can add you later), I would be quite happy to phone crimestoppers or any other UK-based organization on your behalf if you’re able to talk me through the incident and stay online with me while I run through it with them.

Thank you so much.  Reblogging to signal boost.

Has anyone called the police?

Because, uh, someone should call the police, and if no one has, that someone may have to be me.

i filed it with the fbi but honestly i don’t think we could have too many people legit reporting this
